Building a scenic installation, researching its forms, which serves as a dwelling, and then furnishing it: these are the stages of Francesca Baglieri’s practice.
She aims to take ownership of a place to make it useful to the spectators who will inhabit and see it, making it a compositional element of the aesthetic circle, which is closing. Everything has the purpose of being useful. The perspective simplifies, the space is repainted, so that it can be known again, from scratch. The pictorial installation is as if eager to become architecture. Francesca has always felt closer to the generation of her grandparents, who see the world as a circle, in the circle a mystery, in the present a fragment of truth. She was born in Modica, she trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Palermo, and she is the co-founder of “)(\u201c Artist Run Space in Palermo.<\/p>\n
